Computer Changed my life.

The most surprising invention of modern science is Computer. I think it changed style and pattern of human of human life. When I am at the age of 7-8 I were a school boy my grandfather laughed at me "Who will give job?" I said him" I will give me a job" at last it became true. After completing my higher secondary I took a 6 months diploma on computer science and technology and next year I had to admit to have my graduation but was mostly in monetary crisis. Then the computer training helped me, I had a part time job in computer training center as an instructor. From then I am staying with a job [more]

Duplicating a key from a photograph

CNet news warn you not to flash your keys in public.Computer scientists at the University of California at San Diego have developed software that can make a duplicate of a key from just a distant photo of it using technology available to almost anyone.Referred to as Sneakey, the system is capable of "teleduplication--extracting a key's complete and precise bitting code at a distance via optical decoding and then cutting precise duplicates," according to Sneakey's Web site.Part of the project's mission is to make people realize that traditional keys are not really as safe as they might think. How does satellite Internet operate

How do you access the Internet other than dial-up if you live too far from a phone company office for DSL and there is no cable TV on your street? Satellite Internet access may be worth considering. It's ideal for rural Internet users who want broadband access.Satellite Internet does not use telephone lines or cable systems, but instead uses a satellite dish for two-way (upload and download) data communications. Upload speed is about one-tenth of the 500 kbps download speed. Cable and DSL have higher download speeds, but satellite systems are about 10 times faster than a normal modem.Firms that [more]

Hard Drive Partitions and Recovery Approaches

If you are using computers for a decent amount of time you have probably realized that storing the data on any device, including Hard Drive, is not absolutely safe. The danger comes from the possibility of the Hard Drive breakdown or from accidental user-imposed errors causing disappearance of the most valuable data. In this basic guide, we will deal with the most common problems, when there are no mechanical or electronic problems in the Hard Disk, but the data was accidentally removed, damaged, or corrupted by the user, or when the damage occurred due to the software crash on the computer. Stolen Xbox recovered by victim using controller

People will go to great lengths to steal your gear -- no big surprise there. In a nice, semi-ingenious twist, though, one Xbox 360 thief on campus at Missouri State has gotten caught by the dupe himself. Thievery victim Ryan Kestenbaum was able to connect the controller (which the crook had left behind) up to the console, which of course meant that it was nearby. He then went on a fantastic journey with the controller, allowing the LEDs -- which flash if the controller is out of range -- to guide him to the room of the thief. Kestenbaum contacted the dorm's advisor, and the Xbox was recovered, [more]

Disable Indexing Service & Use a Better Substitute

In order to search through a hard drive faster, XP keeps a record of all files on the hard drive. It sounds useful, but if you use Windows' search tool infrequently, the indexing service just constantly runs in the background without being taken advantage of and used.Indexing can slow down actions as simple as opening or closing files. To disable this service, go to Start > Run and type services.msc. Double click "Indexing Services" and set the startup type to "Disabled".If you want to search, there is a freeware program called Locate that can index 400GB of data in under 2 minutes and can perform [more]
