Even before the economy went into recession, I started a few years ago giving people gift cards as opposed to actually buying gifts. I hate this time of year when it comes to shopping, so I figure this way the special people in my life can buy what THEY want not what I think they want. Things have gotten even easier now with Visa gift cards - now I don’t even have to worry about which store to buy a gift card in - everyone accepts Visa!
