1000 Islands are located between Kingston and Brockville. In reality there are more then 1800 islands there. In the Beginning of the XVIII (18) century they were divided into 8 groups according to size.It's an amazing place. The scenery is fantastic. For a week now fires have been raging all over California. Firemen are trying to take things under control, but for now this doesn't seem possible. I've seen some very moving reports on TV where people with tears in their eyes were saying they had lost everything. The governor of California Arnold Schwarzenegger (hope i spelled it right) said that everyone who had suffered from the fires will get compensations and help. Hope it's true, and things won't go like in New Orleans.
