If anyone ever questioned if 19 action news was a entertainment station than here's proof. Entertainment reporter Chris Van Vliet got sent to France to cover the Cannes movie festival. How can anyone argue the station isn't a entertainment station when they spend money for a local reporter to go to France to star watch; especially when Lynna Lai jokingly suggests sometimes that she needs a raise on air.

Personally I have no problem with 19 being a local entertainment /tabloid station. The reason why having a tabloid aura about the news is good is because it associates the Persuasive news anchor with stars more often. I totally believe one can project a image as a star if one reports on stars a lot.Now Lynna Lai is a star and if she's a star shouldn't she be going to France to interview her own? Matter of fact some would say that she was a star long before Vliet was on the news station. This also shows that the industry is bias toward news anchors that have been on a station for a long time. Question: What could establish an aura of fresh blood the way that Vliet has? My answer is that they have him anchor with Lynna Lai or at least have her interview him on some occasions. This would draw a small association with Lynna Lai and stardom since Vliet interviews stars.

If Vliet did co-anchor with Lynna Lai It might be the first time in a long time that a news cast was anchored by two people with jet black hair in Cleveland not to mention they both came from french influenced places(Meaningless)! Is it me or do people from states that were influenced by France have a lot more charisma about them?
