Nice business

I used to go to the website caffeinemarketing.com, they started in April 2006 and in the beginning they even re-posted from TrendyFriendy.com :) Anyway, these guys recently placed their website to the auction and - voila! - they sold it a few days ago for 3000 $.

Nice go for a 9-month old (young) blog.

Detroit

It's so fashionable now to talk about Detroit - The Dying City. Perhaps, I've never been there. But to me it looks rather cool.

CNN & YouTube debate

Democratic presidential candidates faced questions directly from voters on Monday in the first CNN/YouTube debate. YouTube questions were sometimes personal, heartfelt and comical. Questions included one from a father who lost a son in Iraq and wondered if he would lose another, a gay couple asking why they shouldn't be allowed to marry and a woman stricken with breast cancer who asked if her chance of survival would be better if she had health insurance. In all, 39 questions were asked from the 3,000 submissions YouTube said it received. Most observers agreed that none of the candidates debating

built on wordpress (it is free), minimum of graphics (i found only logo, which is a drawn element of design), slightly modified K2 theme... assembling of this blog might have taken around 2 hours to a few nights. ok, actually, the design was a bit different in the beginning and "inputs" could have been more.

Anyway respect to guys from mankatowebdesign.com - good idea how to use free time at work - professional looking niche blogs are sold for real money!

Actually (i the owner matt peschong) own mankatowebdesign.com and am a marketing major (in progress, im 21) at a state university and i ran that marketing website in my free time. i also own that web design/marketing company by myself and i run (beides caffeinemarketing) about 6 other websites that will sell for more than 3,000 each.

yes, it is impressive id say... making nearly 30,000 in the last month with all my businesses combined (part-time while going full-time to school)

and by the way, we (as in me, the only guy who runs everything there and with all my businesses) were a 6 month blog (with a PR5 i believe after 6 months). my other websites have PR5 - PR7's after only 5-6 months. pretty quick page rank eh? now you see why i get paid big bucks for search engine optimization

ok, in this case, can you, please, share, how you manage to achieve such high page rank in such a short time? is this because you have lots of links to you, or something else? do you submit posts in your blogs to communities like reddit, etc?

oh and, if you say you run around 6 other websites, do you manage to write content all by yourself, or is it even not necessarily?

write all my own content yes, i am a speed reader and speed typer (120 words per minute typing speed). its easy to summarize a news idea. what's hard in business is to create value and notice value in a customer. its a mutually benefical exchange. i see myself becoming a sales guy one day. i am making 30% of all website sales jobs to this company in town ($8000 jobs x .30) and i did about this of those meetings this week. i just have good sales skills. i guess you could say it came from being a lady killer when i was younger.

when it comes to page rank, its a matter of understand Google's yahoo's and other search engines algorithums beyond the scope of "seo help and tips" blogs and articles.

THANKS AGAIN TO YOU ALL!

i have always wondered, how the new owner continues to maintain the product. isn't it bigger trouble afterwards, with the new guy asking thousands of stupid questions?

how do you support the blog you have sold? Or is the new owner very familiar with wordpress?

summary: nuacco's been visiting webpage X. X is 9-months old blog. X was sold for 3000 bucks, without much effort. then, the owner of X shows up and shares his experience in selling X pages. He's got lots of them. and he's just 21, still a college student :)

the new owner maintains it himself, its a "Turn key" situation. I am selling MADWEIRD.com this week too and also COLLEGELOANZ.COM
