My wonderful meeting with Edit
I was meant to post this entery on December 17th, but because of the Math test I had on the 18th, and the exhaustion and tiredness I felt – and still feel – I had no strenght to collect my thoughts together to write this. Anyway, here I am, refreshed after a two hours nap, to share this wonderful experience with you.
On December 15th I went to Rome to meet my friend Edit, a special sweet friend I met online on DeviantART two years ago, and with whom I built, during the years, a strong friendship. She’s been my online confident so many times that I lost count, and when she told me, a few weeks earlier, than she would come to Italy this month, I almost jumped with the joy. You know? A whole trip from Hungary to here! That’s so sweet of her. She took her son too, a sweet young boy. It was so cute to meet him too. :3
Well, the only bad thing actually was that I didn’t have too much time to spend together, because of that Math test I had to prepare, but I cherished those 2 hours ’till the last minute. I almost didn’t want to leave, LOL.
That’s us at the bar where we stayed and talked for 2 wonderful hours. Please, don’t mind the big-ness of my cheeks and of my eyebags… that’s what stress and lack of sleep gets me to ‘earn’. Gah! Gladly I’m back to okay face now. The bless of a long night sleep, hehe.
So, we spent that time talking for the most, and I showed her a LOT of my Robocity and Prime Family drawings I had carried along. Edit has been following AND supporting my imaginary stories continuously during these two years, and I thought it would be nice to show her the ‘making’ of all those characters, stories, comics… since their beginnings, back on 2001 and 1998 respectively. Yeah, they’ve been part of my heart for that long time, hehe.
It was so sweet! She was moved and excited at everything I showed her, and of the fact itself that she got to meet me! I felt like having a fan, can you imagine the feeling? X3 It made me feel special, and that’s really something, especially at this time, when I mostly see failures. Thank you from the bottom of my heart, Edit!!
It was so cute when she showed me the Transformer toy in her bag, thinking that I would consider it odd… when I had one in MY bag too! XD Ahah! I opened my bag to show her and both of us burst into a heartfelt laugh, ahah! How cute :3
Aww I wish she had some of doodles and stories along. I would have loved to see the originals! Somehow, I feel guilty that I was the only one to show her my stuff. And I so wish I could see her again the day afterwards, but alas I had to study so I couldn’t. Too bad I had had no chance to go out and buy her a present (her coming was a BIG Christmas present to me! ); I gave her one of my unused sketch albums for artists as a gift. So good that she liked it even though it was a very tiny thing, heh. <3
I look forward to go visit her to Hungary one of these years. After I have my trips to US and Germany of course, since I’ve been trying to go visit my children there for 2 years now. *sigh* Oh well, sooner or later.
Anyway, it would be nice if you could visit her DeviantART site: http://swift117.deviantart.com. If you like Transformers, robots and photography in general, you’re going to like it.
P.S. I’m waiting for another photo of us together that Edit took with her cellphone. I’ll post that up when she gives it to me.
