Military Private Bowe Bergdahl Resurfaces On Taliban Video Clip
In June 2009 the Taliban in Afghanistan captured a U.S soldier from Hailey, ID named Bowe Bergdahl. A few days ago Bowe Bergdahl showed up in a Taliban propaganda video clip. A journalist who had the experience of being held captive by the Taliban for 45 days said that the Afghans had refrained from killing Bowe Bergdahl due to his propaganda value. The Taliban won’t permit somebody to get a good installment loan to purchase Bergdahl’s independence either. Bergdahl, 16 months back, was captured and held
It seems as if Bowe Bergdahl has been beaten, although he is clean shaven, within the most recent Taliban video clip. Bergdahl’s appearance in the Taliban video leads experts to believe that the footage was shot right after his capture more than 16 months ago. The video released Wed is the fourth Taliban video Bergdahl has came out in since he was taken in eastern Afghanistan. Other videos show him with facial hair. A longer beard is in some. The Taliban is expected to only be holding the one United States soldier hostage. Jalaluddin Jaqqani is a senior Taliban commander who’s shown within the video clip giving a statement along with the appearance of the soldier and militant attack video clip clips.
Taliban seeing cooperation from Bergdahl?
In April, Bergdahl surfaced in a Taliban video clip denouncing the Afghanistan War and pleading to be launched. It was said in the Sunday Times in August that Bowe Bergdahl was converted to Islam and learned how to convert a cell phone into a remote detonator for a roadside bomb. This is what one of the intended Bowe Bergdahl captors said. Bergdahl was cooperating with the Taliban along with Afghan intelligence officials. However, the alleged captor said the details Bergdahl shared with the Taliban were common knowledge and that he was pretending to be a Muslim to keep from being beheaded.
Bergdahl’s propaganda worth keeps him still living
A journalist explained that Bergdahl is safe. This was after the journalist was, in 2008, captured by the Taliban. In an interview with ID Public Television, Jere Van Dyk said he didn’t believe the Taliban would harm him. Van Dyk had the experience of being held POW by the Taliban for 45 days. He was released after the kidnapping. Bowe Bergdahl would be changed into Muslim more than likely by the Taliban though. He is a propaganda tool though. He is nevertheless alive for this reason. By letting him live, Van Dyk said, the Taliban are demonstrating that they have changed their ways and no longer behead their captors to terrorize their enemies.
