Microsoft just dropped their bid on Yahoo for $42.3 billion previously offered. Yahoo asking to have it go higher for $37 per share or around $53 billion.
" Microsoft Corp . withdrew its $42.3 billion bid to buy Yahoo Inc . on Saturday, scrapping an attempt to snap up the tarnished Internet icon in hopes of toppling online search and advertising leader Google Inc .But Yahoo's board demanded at least $53 billion, or $37 per share, according to Ballmer. That would have been nearly double Yahoo's stock price of $19.18 at the time Microsoft first made its bid a little over three months ago."
Your thoughts? I am now trying to forsee how Google is happy with this turnaround.
While thinking on what I need to write to YouSayToo, another suggestion flashed into my mind. I was about to check whether I can be able to create a poll to my journal. But it seems this functionality is lacking in the journal.SO my suggestion is to have a poll option where I can have a poll for users to vote for the poll I have created. In this way, I can weight on what users want, what they think( in comments, but obviously available now) and also this can give YouSayToo a readers or users perspective choices, votes and opinions. I don't know about google, but that make me very happy. Mainly because microsoft spoils everything it gets its slimy paws on. Want an example? who here likes Vista or uses internet explorer 7? I prefer mozilla firefox or safari for windows or opera. And I use XP not vista.
We really don't know what will happen if Microsoft take the control of one of the most important search engine "Yahoo",. MSN + Yahoo = Problematic Competitor against Google.
