Make the best of your shopping sprees!

How many times has this happened to you? You decide to go shopping for just a handful of items you’ve been planning on buying or you simply go out for a walk, and you end up coming back home with an armful of clothes, shoes and accessories!? ..I’ll let our budgets answer: too many times. So how do we make sure the things we buy are worth the money spent? Keep the following keywords in mind next time a shopping urge comes by and we’re sure you’ll enjoy your next purchases to the fullest.

Firstly, make sure the clothes you buy are flattering on you and shape appropriate. We are different women with different shapes and sizes and we all have a handful of features that are truly outstanding – beautiful eyes, a toned back, long legs, sexy curves, etc. It’s all about learning to embrace them and accentuating them. Don’t force the latest trends onto your body, rather, work with them. A clothing article that makes you feel beautiful will be worn more and will totally be worth the money!!

Secondly comes versatility. As you stand in front of that multicolored sequined crop top you just have to have, try thinking of what other clothes you will be able to wear it with. Of course, we all need a few statement items that will “steal the show”. However, if we pack our closets with mostly pieces that don’t match any of our day-to-day work-, casual- and leisure-related activities, they will never see the light of day. This will equate to money being wasted. Try our tip: before buying a clothing item, try pairing it up in your mind with at least 3 items that you already own and make sure it matches in color and fabric.

Thirdly, check the store’s return policy. Maybe at the time you can’t try on a certain clothing article or aren’t sure if the shade of gold on the stilettos matches the gold trimming on the cocktail dress. If you can’t return the item, think of coming back after having given it a bit more thought and are convinced it will be an asset to your closet.

Fourthly, make sure you respect the care instructions found on the inside of the garment. To make the most of your money, you must make the most of your clothes and shoes. Every fabric must be cared for in a special way in order to make it last, keep it soft if it was soft, fuzzy if it was fuzzy and vibrant if it was colorful. In the case of shoes, make sure you replace the heel on high heels, and avoid snow and rain if your shoes are suede (or treat them with a special spray before going out ).

Splurges are inevitable, but we can stop regretting having indulged in them by having them highlight our sexiest spots, by keeping them vibrant and soft, by wearing them over and over and over; basically, by making the most of what we buy!
