L’OREAL advertising is banned because of computer processing of photos

L'OREAL Advertising
The L’OREAL Company in Britain is accused of using graphics software for their advertising of anti-aging means.
The winner of an Oscar Rachel Weisz has always stood for the natural beauty, even condemned the use of Botox by other stars. However, when she appeared with a smooth skin in advertising anti-aging products from L’Oreal, the company’s officials was suspected a fraud.
It later emerged that the picture of 41-year old actress was indeed subjected to a technology of digital retouching in order to equalize the complexion.
The British Standards in advertising has imposed a ban on advertising in the magazine L’Oreal’s Revitalift Repair 10. Officials said the advertising makes “erroneously exaggerated” representation about the product.
The company said: “Rachel Weisz was made a professional make-up, and then a professional photographer made an image using light in the studio. Photo was taken using a large amount of light to capture the image more enjoyable and reduce the number of flaws.”
But later, the company acknowledged that they applied technology retouching.
