    Chapter 3 The chains that were wrapped around my wrists were beginning to feel warm on my icy skin. The wounds on my hands were now nothing more than dried blood. I could feel myself becoming weaker, unable to move, unable to speak. I was rested into the corner of the room at the back of the library. Penny sat alone at the closest table to me.     It looked like an old library. Bookcases filled every corner, stacked with hundreds upon hundreds of old dusty books. The walls were painted in a gloomy white, where age began to take over.     The room started to feel smaller and smaller. I sat hurdled in a corner trying to escape from the anger and frustration that flooded the house. My Mum and Dad constantly argued it was almost non-stop. It didn't so much as scare me, well actually that's a lie it did scare me. I never knew what to do, how to help, who to believe.
