John Darwin, a missing canoest, was arrested for fraud.



When police question John Darwin on where he was been these five years he said he did not remember. Well, here's a reminder - a photo taken a year ago in Panama. Smiling John with his wife

His wife cashing in his life insurance policy, death-in-service benefits from the Prison Service of about £70,000 and a widow's pension.

Mrs. Darwin moved to Panama six weeks before her husband showed up at the police station. She also sold two properties for £455,000.

Saudi King Pardons Rape Victim

A rape victim who was sentenced to 200 lashes and 6 months imprisonment was pardoned today by Saudi King Abdullah. A Saudi court ruled the 19-year-old woman had an "illegitimate relationship" with a man who was not her husband, and that the rape occurred after she and the man were discovered in a "compromising situation, her clothes on the ground."The woman was meeting a former friend to get a photograph when both of them were abducted.Seven men were convicted in their abduction and her rape a got sentenced from 10 months to 5 years.
