What I find most interesting is that some of the buildings still have the peaked framework - as if they were built with the knowledge that duisings have pointy tops, even if they don't actually need a roof

I guess they don't build roofs so it would be brighter in the house. I think the house must have a room with a roof, so stuff from the ceiling won't fall on them

those guys live in china. they got an assembly kit for the houses from the state

i'm from china by the way, and i'm ashamed that my governement don't do even close to enough for the poor, while pouring billions into fancy stadiums and skyscrapers

Im sure at certain times of the year water could seep thought the roof of the cave or perhaps the consolidation of condensation on the cave roof would create a cause for the need of a house roof. They obviously need the light more than the protection from the elements when these photos were taken. I would love to go to china!! from what i keep seeing its a very special place on this planet

I think its amazing that even could build something like that. Of course, not all of China is like that, so anyone who says they wouldn't want to live in any Chinese city... I have a penpal from China, of course he doesn't like somethings but he believes that they have change a lot in the past ten years

They are aka Hmong in the western side (america, europe, Alustriaand others). In china they are called miao.In south east asia they are called maew.
