Gloria and Renny met on Match.com but after seeing their photos together, I could tell they were a match made in heaven… no, really! Just scroll down and you’ll see how happy they are to be with each other. They are both Chinese-American so they incorporated aspects of a traditional Chinese wedding — from the apple red bridesmaid dresses, to the dragon and phoenix on the cake and the double happiness symbols sprinkled throughout their details — into their modern city celebration. Lovely...

The Great Squidoo Lens Organizing Project
Thought I'd drop by and visit for a few minutes and give a little update on my lens organizing efforts. LOL As you know, I transferred less than 100 lenses out of my boutiqueshops account to fancy-gift-wrap, sports-gifts, party-guide and ultimate-bride-guide.
One follow-up note about Rocketmoms: the template is deleted, which I think $ucks, because it was at least a memory of the RM's. But now those lenses are on the default template. eeeew...LOL Now, you *know* I can't leave them that way!...
Leslie & Josh’s Fun-Love-and-DIY-Filled Farm Wedding
Today I’m delighted to share a fun, laid-back and handmade detail-packed country wedding with all of you! Leslie & Josh are both big on farm life, family ties, and, of course, each other. Their beautiful October 2011 wedding was held in one of Josh’s family’s farms, Leslie had their grandparents’ initials sewn on to her dress, the lovely couple DIY’d almost everything you see on this page, and family and friends pitched in to help set up the perfect wedding of their dreams. It was definitely...
Laura & Ke’s Black, White, and Red DIY Wedding at the Arbors
I hope everyone’s week is off to a great start! Meet lovebirds Laura and Ke, two 80s metal music fans who met at a Motley Crue concert in 2009. They were wed two years later in October 2011 in a lovely outdoor ceremony in North Carolina, as you will see below through photographer Christi Falls ‘ lens. Our lovely couple and the beautiful scenery aside, you will also most likely notice the gorgeous black and white paper flower bouquets and centerpieces that creative bride Laura made by hand...
Certified Poptastic 7: Random Loves
Happy first Sunday of February everyone! Here’s the regular roundup of pretty things that caught my eye — and heart — this past week. Easy DIY Project: Dress up garden lights (solar string lights are an enviro-friendly option) in pretty cupcake liners. They’re not meant for long-term use though so better take off the liners once your event is done. See the tutorial at Family Chic. Fab wedding: I’m 100% sure you will LOVE this retro-tastic Beatles-themed wedding complete with subtle nods to...
Heather & Aaron’s Colorful and Creative At-Home Wedding
Happy Friday everyone! Today’s featured wedding is going to be a feast for the eyes so be ready with your virtual pins. Heather and Aaron are both artists so it’s no surprise that their wedding is chock-full of creative details and lots of personal DIY touches. Nothing present in their wedding did not represent them, from their venue (it was held in their bungalow) to the artworks on the walls, to what they wore and who they spent it with. They kept it really small and celebrated among only...
Isabel & Arturo’s Fine Art and Mariachi Party Wedding
Are you ready to party? Isabel & Arturo both come from traditional Mexican families so to them, it’s not a wedding without mariachi music, tequila, and LOTS of singing and dancing. Their reception was held at Zhou B. Art Center in Chicago whose contemporary art exhibit provided a stunning backdrop for their celebration. Everyone had a blast and today — thanks to the artistic talents of photographer Eddie Quiñones of Luzco Photo — you’ll get to see photos to prove it! Here’s what Eddie has to...
Cool DIY Ideas from our January Couples
Why hello February! Guess what, this blog turns two years old this month! I hope you’re enjoying the (almost) daily dose of funky wedding ideas because there’s a lot more coming your way. For now, I thought it would be nice to look back and take inspiration from our January couples — okay I’ve included some from December that were too cool not to include — on how to incorporate who you are into your wedding. I know I bombarded you with photos and you might have missed some brilliant ideas so...
Daisy & Leighton’s Whistler Winter Destination Wedding
Daisy and Leighton live in Australia but they did a most unexpected thing for their January wedding. While everyone at home was basking in the heat of midsummer, the beautiful rock and roll couple flew almost 8000 miles away to get married in cold, snow-covered Whistler in British Columbia, Canada for a special and very intimate wedding ceremony. They had less than 10 guests — just their parents and a best friend for each. We are luckily able to witness their marriage today through these...
