I left my heart in Singapore

Singapore is, without a doubt, my favorite country. I first went to Singapore in 1999 as a graduation gift from my family. Since then, I've visited the country at least five times (with the Dark Lord).
I love Singapore for many reasons. The transportation system, especially its MTR, is very efficient. Any idiot would easily understand how to use the trains. I love that most business establishments in Singapore have their own websites, which makes travel planning much easier. Hotels, theme parks and other popular landmarks also provide online facilities for online payments and this makes my life so much easier. For this year's Singapore trip, I've booked our Universal Studios tickets online and our hotel accommodations via Roomorama.
And I also found out a couple of days ago that I won a pair of tickets for Singapore Flyer, thanks to PinayJade.
If you're going to Singapore anytime soon, do check out these places. In our years of traveling back and forth to Singapore, here are the tourist spots that we have come to love: 1. Sentosa.
This island is filled with different activities and attractions for your family. You can check out its beaches, the aviary, the golf course, etc. You can also take some nature hikes, or just have a relaxing massage. Our favorite spot is the Underwater World Lagoon.2. Singapore Botanical Garden.
This huge park is also home to a lot of orchid varieties. You can bike, jog, or run around the garden. And if you get hungry, there's a food court near one of the entrances. Just a precaution, though. Make sure you get a map of the botanical garden. There are several entrance/exit here.3. Suntec City Mall
A mall? Yes, it's a mall. Okay, this is more the Dark Lord's favorite spot because it has at least three toy stores here, including Toys R Us. But shopping aside, check out its Fountain of Wealth, the largest fountain in the world. This was featured prominently in one season of Amazin Race. Singaporeans also believe that when you circle and touch the small fountain at the center three times, you'll receive good luck. Check out the fountain and lights show every night at 8 PM.4. Bugis Street Market
If you're into shopping, then check out Bugis Street Market in, well, Bugis Street. This is the largest street market in Singapore, showcasing different products from clothes to fruits to shoes to accessories. The cost of prices here are also relatively affordable. And if you're looking for accommodations, make sure you check the listings in Roomorama.com.
Our Singapore trip will be next week so please excuse me if I'm not able to update this blog. But I promise you that once we get back, I'll be sharing more our Singapore trip.
