The battle for weight loss is horrendous! There’s all sorts of ups and downs, and you never seem to be able to get yourself skinny. So, here are a few tips to help keep you on your dieting track. They have worked for me, so now you give it a go!

1.  Make achievable goals.
We all need to be a little more realistic when it comes to setting weight loss goals. Otherwise, you are just setting yourself up to fail. For example, you don’t want to start dieting right in the middle of the holiday season. There’s simply too much food and fun, and it’s difficult to say no to it all.

2.  Reward yourself on a job well done.
Along with setting goals you can achieve, don’t forget to reward yourself when you reach them. It can be anything from a new necklace made from Mikimoto pearls to a night out on the town with the girls. You choose the reward to fit your goal.

3.  Try, try again.
When dieting, you are going to slip up! It’s just inevitable because we are all human. So, don’t beat yourself up over it. just dust yourself off and try again tomorrow. If you continue to struggle, adjust your plan accordingly. Maybe you set your sights a little too high this time and need to tone it back a little.

4.  Have a good support system.
Sticking to a diet is hard enough, but trying to go it alone is even worse. You have to have someone that you can count on, that will be willing to kick your butt back in line.

Just remember, whatever you are trying to do to improve yourself is a step in the right direction, and far better than doing nothing at all!
