Grand Lotto 6/55 Winner from New York Claims P741 Million Prize

A 60-year-old balikbayan from New York claimed the P741-million jackpot prize of the Grand Lotto today in Pasay, GMANews.tv reports.

The winner was accompanied by his brother-in-law and his nephew when he claimed the prize at the PCSO head office in Pasay City, according to Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) chairperson Margie Juico.

Juico added that she personally signed and handed the check to the winner, whom she described as a “simple-looking” man.

The winner used the ‘lucky pick’ method when he placed his bet in a PCSO outlet in Olongapo City, but could have not won if he did not allow a woman behind him to go ahead.

“May sumingit na babae bago siya tumaya pero hindi siya nagalit at pinabayaan niya. Mukhang mabait talaga siyang tao,” Juico narrated.
