Now that we have an understanding of what having authentic control of our life means, where do we begin? Many of us may not be at the point where we can just quit our day job, but in this post I will go into the TONS of ways you can start to build up your control. Hopefully by dedicating enough time to one or several of these methods you will find an abundance of success. Some of the things I list below you may be familiar with and some you may not. Either way, it’s all good stuff.

But First!

Find your Passion

Whatever you are doing, you need to make sure you are passionate about it. Even if the only thing you are passionate about is making enough money to quit your job, well, that is a good start. You see, having a fiery passion for something will give you the ability to keep going even when times get a little tough. Trying to do something you are not passionate about for a long time will cause you to lose momentum eventually. This is one of the main reasons a lot of people eventually fail at their jobs, they just are not motivated.

Blogging

Blogging is often one of the first things a lot of people get into when looking for ways to take advantage of their passions. The reason being is because blogging is relatively simple to get started but it takes a lot of research, time, and dedication to actually get good at. I could literally take up this entire post with a guide on how to start a blog and be successful at it, but why don’t you check out these resources instead:

Affiliate Marketing

Affiliate marketing, if done correctly, can be very profitable and relatively easy to get into. Affiliate marketing is basically a system where a company or individual will reward people for promoting and selling their product. Sometimes they offer as much as 60% of the sale and your job is to just make people aware. They will usually handle the rest as far as billing, customer service, etc.

: One of the most popular ways to step foot into affiliate marketing is ClickBank. With ClickBank you can easily pinpoint products within your chosen niche and begin marketing them through various means such as on your blog or in your newsletter. One of the most popular ways is PPC advertising from Google.

VigLink: There are literally millions of affiliate programs out there. A lot of the companies that you buy products from probably have affiliate programs. Heck, some of the products that you have already suggested people buy in the past probably have affiliate programs. How do you keep track of all that? Well, you could go on every single website, sign up individually, and try to manage it all. A better choice would be to use VigLink. VigLink is revolutionary because every time you post a link on your website, it checks its huge database of affiliate programs to see if there is a match. If there are, it automatically turns it into an affiliate link without you doing anything. VigLink will not do anything with links that are already affiliated though.

Amazon: You can sign up to become an affiliate to promote the millions of products that can be found on Amazon. Pretty self explanatory and you can get started right away.

Sell Something

Affiliate marketers can make a ton of money but the real money comes from selling your own product. Of course this actually requires that you come up with a quality product that is worth buying which in itself can be a very arduous task. You can start off simple by choosing to possibly write an eBook. If you already have a blog and been blogging for awhile, dig through your archives and find some very popular posts. These could be the beginning of a pretty good eBook if expanded upon. Wherever you get your inspiration to make your product from, you need to go to market with it.

In the same way you sign up to promote other people’s products, you can sign up to have people promote yours. Try these popular choices.
