Japan's Supercomputer 'K Computer' who took the number one spot at Top500 as the fastest computer in the world that announced this Monday morning at the International Computing Conference held in Hamburg, Germany. Kei Soku Keisanki is the short name for Fujitsu's K Computer powered by Sparc64 VIIIfx and the 'tofu' interconnect delivered a world beating 8.162 petaflops on the Linpack benchmark over China's supercomputer 2.57 petaflops Tianhe 1A who took the second place while on third is the U.S. 1.7 petaflops Jaguar. Fujitsu's K Computer 'The fastest computer in the world' K Computer is the successor of Earth Simulator which delivered 35 teraflops also Japan's supercomputer which also took the number one spot at Top500 from year 2002 to 2004.
