Angel of Sorrow The angel, she sits high above the sky,
Her wings held tightly at her side.
Her face buried within her hands,
For God has for her great plans.
Her gift to this Earth is to steady the tides.
To weep for the world only on the inside.
Daily she weeps for all that is wrong.
Daily she knows she will never belong
To a world where love is merely myth.
Forever in sadness and all that comes with.
God has trusted her with the weight of sorrow
When one day of pain has ended, there will be tomorrow.
And she will spread her wings and cradle the pain.
Then grace us all with the fall of the rain.
Her tears fall to the Earth in steady showers.
The burden has been cast and no longer ours.
For she is the angel of sorrow and woe.
In daylight, human encased in a Heavenly glow.
