Can Milk And Dark Chocolate Be Melted And Mixed Together?

Only replies from cooks and qualified chocolatiers please. I like dark chocolate but find it too rich and bitter. I like milk choc, but find it too sweet and milky. So I am thinking of blending the two, to get the mix just right.
