NBC Shells Out $1 Million For First Post Prison Paris Hilton Interview Crime pays for Paris Hilton. NBC has shelled out one million smackers for the rights to her first post jail interview. Of course, Paris took the money, but she refused to be interviewed by Matt Lauer because he has made some ugly remarks about her in the past. Instead she will be questioned by Today Show co-host Meredith Viera. I think Paris is forgetting that Matt Lauer showed her some love at least once, when he dressed like her for Halloween.
