A father from Romania named his daughter SLK Caldarar after the Mercedes model. The man insisted on it, saying he loves car and had the baby been born as a boy, the father would have named him BMW.

The man, from Chisinau Cris in Arad county, reportedly surprised staff at the register's office with the name. Mr Caldarar said: "The SLK is one of the most famous models of the Mercedes class; it's expensive and beautiful."
