Fairly often friends ask for advice on the best possible Search Engine Optimization Tips . This is the advice I give to friends and anyone intelligent enough to listen to and follow advice from someone who is moderately successful making money online.
Tip 1. Be Patient SEO Takes Time - Decide from the start that you will take your time and learn how to do things properly.
Tip 2. Use Only White Hat Search Engine Optimization - Avoid black hat, improper or even illegal, SEO procedures.
Tip 3. Read and Research about online search engine optimization . Read at least two How to SEO posts from other content producers a week. Try their white hat ideas and keep the ones that work for you.
Tip 4. Learn to Properly Anchor Keywords to content. Understand that the most important thing in SEO is anchoring your keywords to the content of your Hub or article, or even the bookmark you are hoping to make revenue sharing income.
Tip 5. Follow these Search Engine Optimization Keyword Anchor Tips . Anchor the keywords for your article by making sure three or four, space permitting, keywords highly relevant to your article are in three places at least. The URL for the article, the Title for your article and in the first sentence of the article.
T ip 6. Do Keyword Research efficiently . Before making the URL, Title or first sentence to each article do some keyword research. There are many ways to do keyword research. Tip 7. Maintain Good Keyword Density - Learn to use the main keywords with about 1-3% density - some say as high as 2-5% but it depends on if you are putting long tails in within your main keyword
Tip 8. Use Header Tags for effective Search Engine Optimization . Learn how to use your keyword / keywords in header tags like h1, h2, h3.
Tip 9. Ensure Good Keyword Coverage in your article . Fit the keyword / keywords into your article's last sentence in a relevant original text manner.
Tip 10. Link your keyword in an anchor link , linking to another internal page on your website, or another of your relevant hub pages.
Tip 11. Use keywords in the alt tag of pictures . This helps achieve the desired keyword density.
Tip 12. Write your article in original content that is at least 400+ words. If you are posting a bookmark within a revenue sharing site make sure you post at least 75% of the text in your own original comments. The total text to be no less than 50 words.
