About your book: Forever Mine is the first in a series of 3 full length novels entitled, The Moreno Brothers. It's a YA coming of age story of first love. Sarah is suddenly sent to live with her aunt and cousin out of state when her mother is sent to jail just as she is about to begin her senior year in high school. She's determined to save money and get back to her home and best friend Sydney. Her plans are turned upside down when she meets the gorgeous and intense jock Angel Moreno. Before she knows what happens she's in an exclusive relationship with Angel and falling head over heels at an alarming rate. He's almost too good to be true. Almost. His possessive tendencies and belief that guys and girls can never be "just" be friends lead Sarah to not correct his assumption that the best friend back home she's been gushing about getting back to is a girl. But as their relationship progress to more intimate stages it becomes harder and harder for Sarah to come clean. The more she waits the harder it will get. What do you think readers will find most notable about this book?

Elizabeth Reyes
The two things I get most from my readers is how much they loved the many characters introduced in the book and how they couldn't put it down. It's nice to hear because it's something I strive for when writing. Making the read as enticing as possible.

Have you acquired any good anecdotes surrounding this book? If so, could you share one?

Elizabeth Reyes
Because not all my readers are young adults, I've found it interesting that the feedback I've received from them is usually one of two. Either "Wow this takes me back those days of first love" accompanied by a few sighs lol or just the opposite. "So glad I don't have to go through that anymore"

Did researching and writing this book teach you anything or influence your thinking in any way?

Elizabeth Reyes
I didn't have to do much researching other than running techniques, (Sarah is on the track team) And what happens during typical visit to jail to see an inmate. But I did learn a few things about the legal system though I can't elaborate without giving out spoilers.

What would you most like readers to tell others about this book?

Elizabeth Reyes
I'd hope that they would say they loved it and couldn't put it down. Several have already told me they've read it more than once. But I think that they'll share the sweetness of the love story and they felt as they were reading.

Can you suggest one question readers might find interesting to discuss, concerning you, your writing in general, or this book?

Elizabeth Reyes
The fact that I started the book in the tenth grade and put it away for many many years before I finally got back to it.After reading the chapters I had written I was incredibly disappointed that I hadn't finished it because I so badly wanted to know what happened next. Only then did I decide to finish it and now I'm working on the next two in the series.

How can readers help you promote this book? I think word of mouth is the best way to promote. If you read my book and enjoy it nothing would help more than to pass the word on to someone you think would enjoy it as well.

About You: Elizabeth Reyes

Currently I'm a stay at home mom but I worked for many years mainly in the telecommunications field. Just last year I decided I needed to be home with my two teenage kids. I've been married for 17 years. I spend my weekdays doing the endless job of a homemaker, writing and networking online. My weekends are usually spent on the soccer field watching my daughter play.

Why do you write?

Elizabeth Reyes
Writing is my passion. I find it incredibly therapeutic. When I write I"m in another world. When I'm not writing I'm thinking about it. I'm always plotting. Stories come to me all the time. At this point I don't think I could ever stop writing. I have so many stories just waiting to be writing. My to-be-written list is completely backlogged.

What is your greatest strength as a writer?

Elizabeth Reyes
I've been told my dialogue is my greatest strength. I never put much thought into it just wrote it but when Forever Mine ran through a few critique sites along with a few other stories I wrote, it was the one consistent compliment I received in the critiques.

What quality do you most value in yourself?

Elizabeth Reyes
It's not a quality I've always possessed. I think becoming a mother brought it out in me. Its that I refuse to feel sorry for myself no matter how bad things can get. There's always someone who has it worse and is still coping. I've been blessed with two very healthy and well rounded kids.So whenever I even begin to feel bummed about something like financial issues I remind myself how insignificant that is compared to someone with health issues. I try to make sure I remind kids of this as often as I can.

In addition to writing, what else are you passionate about?

Elizabeth Reyes
Family. To me family is everything. Everybody is so busy these days it's easy start letting some of the traditions slip away. I find myself fighting to keep them alive sometimes. It's very important to me that my kids have many memories of being surrounded by family and that we stay close always.

What are you most proud of accomplishing so far in your life?

Elizabeth Reyes
Raising kids is tough. Things got a little rocky their for moment, part of the reason I decided to quit my job and stay home. But by far I'm very proud of having raised such wonderful kids. I'm not done just yet. They're 14 and 16. This is probably one of the toughest phases of their lives. When I was working I was gone ALL the time. Grades started slipping they begun to hang with the wrong crowd. Ever since I've been home they've done an complete about face. I can't take all the credit but I'm still very proud.
