Almost There: Celebrate Your Weight Loss
Everyone knows how difficult it can be to lose weight, and sometimes we just quit because it seems like we will never get that final 10 pounds off. When we plateau, we should not give up, but celebrate. If you let yourself get upset or frustrated when it becomes harder to lose the weight, you are not doing yourself any favors. Emotions such as frustration or disappointment can be linked to stress and stress is linked to fat storage. The more you stress about your weight loss, the less weight you are going to lose.
What if you celebrated your hard work so far, instead of worried about the weight loss plateau? It may sound difficult, but it is easy to do. Just because you have a few pounds to go does not mean you cannot reward yourself for all of the hard work you have put in so far. Go get a haircut or buy a colorful top from rocawear to boost your self-confidence.
Once you have a little confidence booster, you will be able to jump back into your weight loss program and hit your goal. A weight loss plateau will happen to anyone no matter the kind of program because that is the body’s way of adapting to your eating and exercise routine. The people who push passed their weight loss plateau are the ones that did not let that speed bump keep them from reaching their goal.
You may want to add another 10 minutes on to your cardio workout or cut your calorie intake back a bit to get over the hump, but it is not impossible. Celebrate the effort you have put in so far and you will feel even more motivated to reach your ultimate weight loss goal. Every goal in life will have its minor challenges and all you have to do is adjust your approach.
