Agenda 21 and the Green Crowd Buzz Words, My Take

We hear these words more and more all the time, alarmingly loud to some us us, yet not so to others, a now common occurrence in our everyday vocabulary, yet we don’t notice it so much because it is really so very subtle, they have worked their way in gradually, which is the way it is meant to be.

A quick look at the words and phrases meant to give us good feelings about our world….a bit tongue in cheek, here goes:

Eco-friendly Someone else determining what items I purchase are good for me.

Social Equity Just because I have certain things doesn’t mean they’re yours or we have to be the same.

Ecological diversity Only green approved items allowed, and who decides what is green?

Walkable No petroleum /carbon based vehicles allowed and living within 3 blocks of work, (assuming greenies work).

New urbanization Related to walkable, just send me my new address and my monthly check, I’m sure the new place will be nice.

Sustainable development God loving, gun toting, independent living (maybe off the land) people, in a small community….Naw, don’t think so.

Globalization No more borders, (and that includes the USA).

Mother earth Listen to the planet, it is speaking to us,….or….there is no God.

Sustainability Do I really have to call the doctor after 4 hours?

Carbon footprint How big is your flatulence, or that of the great North American Moose? Maybe we can swap a few carbon credits with Al Gore, he’s got a bunch.

Green The one feel good word that shows up in nearly everything to make us get on board with the very thing that is threatening our individual / national freedom and prosperity.

And now, my own “buzz” word, but please don’t paint it green, if anything, it is RED with the blood of freedom loving patriots.…

….”Constitution“….Theone document (Country) that is standing in the way of all of the above!
