Today (September 9, 2009), Leica announced the M9, the first ever full frame digital rangefinder. The M9 is the successor to the M8, (Leica’s first digital rangefinder with a small frame sensor), and features a new 18MP CCD image sensor, specifically designed and developed along with Kodak for the M9. Some other improvements to the M9, not on the M8 include: simplification of the menu navigation (ISO sensitivity is set by holding down the ISO button while turning the dial to select the desired setting) automatic lens recognition via 6-bit coding ISO range from 80 to 2500, selectable in 1/3 ISO

never thought about shooting a video, especially on a DSLR. But suddenly one day I had this strange idea to make a zombie movie on a DSLR, don’t know how it came to me but I liked it, so I told the idea to my friend and he didn’t think long and told me -”what the hell, lets do this !”. So we wrote the script, chose the actors and went shooting. It took us 3 hours of shooting, 1500 photos, 6-7 hours of montage and the film was created. So behold ! Sanatorium Sanatorium – amateur horror movie shot on a DSLR is a post from: SLAYERPHOTOGRAPHY

Last week we went to visit my wife’s relatives, they live in the country, so I decided to take some pictures of a rural view, nothing special I say, but in the other side you won’t see that kind of landscape every day living in the city.I had 2 cameras with me, my Nikon D80 and a holga. I am not actually satisfied with the shots I got with my holga, don’t know what went wrong this time, I used ILFORD Delta 400, but photos came out blurry, light and some of them had light leeks (that pissed me of a lot), I hate light leeks especially on B&W film.

The newcomer to the world of Digital SLR cameras is presented with a bewildering array of options. It’s hard to keep track of exactly who is currently making DSLRs and how many models each have, but as of summer 2008 there were at least 9 manufacturers (Canon, Fuji, Leica, Nikon, Olympus, Panasonic, Pentax, Samsung and Sony) and between them there were something like 34 different models. How do you choose which one to buy, and in what ways are they different? With so many different cameras available and new models being announced every few months it’s not really possible to make specific recommendations

Taking close-up pictures of small things is called “macro photography.” I have no idea why. Perhaps because the small things in macro photography are generally larger than the things you are taking pictures of when doing “micro photography”. If you really want to be pedantic then you should say you are doing “photomacrogra phy”. What Kind of Camera Point and shoot digital cameras can have remarkable macro capabilities, but for best results you want a single-lens reflex camera. These allow you to attach special-purpose macro lenses and show you in a bright optical viewfinder
