It's not everyday you can see swimming lions but it's a common thing at TIGERS ( The Institute of Greatly Endangered and Rare Species) Dr Bhagavan Antle has been caring for the animals there for 25 years and teaching the to swim.
She said that swimming with tigers enriches their lives. "We found we could manipulate them more easily in the water." "Then we tried swimming with other animals, and the orangutans in particular loved it."
The orangutan Suryl loves swimming but he wears a life jacket because he doesn't like to get his head wet.
Tigers are natural swimmers and enjoy a dip after a long day.
Another natural swimmer at TIGERS is the aquatic tapir who has been swimming since he was the size of a shoe box.

I like the photo of the orangutan wrapped in a towel. He looks so cute :)
