The polar bear cub that was rescued by the zoo keepers from its mother was inspected by the vets and now sleeps happily in the care of a zoo helper who will rear it.
Earlier two bear mothers Vera and Wilma killed their own cubs, only one survived. Now it's fed high fat milk every four hours. The baby bear will make a debut in early April and the deputy mayor wants to hold a competition to name it.
Looks like they are starting another "knutmania" the very thing the zoo officials wanted to avoid
As you can see from the photo the cub has a good appetite and soon will grow big and healthy. I wish the cub and the carer the best of luck!
good at least one survived
