At first it looks like the shark has a cigar in its mouth.

It reality it's not a cigar but a hooked pole. Most probably the shark has come off the encounter with the fisherman. 2 divers spotted the shark in Australian waters and knew that if the pole stays in the shark won't be able to feed and will most certainly die.

Sharks are an endangered species and they are illegal to fish

To get the hook out a plastic tube is put inside the mouth so the shark won't bite the arm of its saver.

The hook was successfully removed and the shark was tagged and released.
