I thought it would be interesting to post about some Portuguese ex-colonies that are true paradises on earth.
Cape Verde is a group of islands in the Atlantic near Guinea. I was already in S. Vicente, one of the islands, but there are others very beautiful. It's not like the other African countries, poor and underdeveloped. Even the local people don't consider themselves as African, they consider themselves as European because of their culture and development. It's a very nice people and you find a lot of people talking other languages specially English. They have a lot of good hotels and luxury resorts.

The archipelago of Sao Tome and Principe lies just off the western coast of Africa close to Equatorial Guinea and Gabon. The equator intersects a part of the archipelago, Ilas das Rolas. As far as I know the islands are so beautiful that they are considered a real paradise. I think they will develop fast because oil was discovered there. The main problem to fly there is the malaria but someone told me that it was already irradicated. There are also some very good hotels and luxury resorts.

East-Timor is in Indonisea and the main touristic activitie is scuba-diving because the see there is amazingly beautiful with a lot of very colorful species. The main problem is some political manifestations.
