'Buns and Guns' opens in Beirut

Please! Tell me this isn't true! A military themed restaurant located in the heart of Hezbollah's security zone in Beirut??

What would you choose? A 'Magnum Pistol,' a 'Dragunov' 'Viper' or a 'B-52?

yes, it's true. But it's so odd.. How can people that lived all their life with war enjoy a restaurant about it?

What is wrong with this picture? The restaurant owner makes his business on unusual theme scheme. The theme of war is quite popular in this area. This way, the restaurant separates itself from competition. In the places, where young kids are tough to shoot enemies from AK, it is part of the landscape.

I know and it may be a kind of dark humor. But I hate more and more war symbols.
That reminds me of my visit of the concentration camp in Dachau, Germany. The guide told us that after the war, the main building was turned into a restaurant.. LOL
It was the reaction of the survivors that obliged it to close.

Once, Israel decided to bring a group of neo-Nazis from Germany to show how the country prospers and make them change their mind on the Jews perception as half-people. When they appeared in the Nazi uniform on the streets of Jerusalem, there was several cases, when the suvivals from the concentration camps had nervous breakdowns.
But, that is different. Like, there is a store in San Francisco with the theme of earthquack. Similarly, people that might survived this natural disaster or lost their loved once, it might look offensive.
In Lebanon, especially on the territory occupied by Hezbollah, the kids are tought hatred in school, at home, in media. What more can add the restaurant?

I think it would be more funny if they proposed a Bush, Bin Laden, hebrew or jewish burger.. ;)
