Today, 8/26/2008 Russian President Dmitry Medvedev has officially recognized Abkhazia and South Ossetia as independent countries. He said that after Georgia's attack Abkhazia and Georgia will not be a part of Georgia.
Let's get ready for a some serious speeches from the world leaders now.
I already know what many of the are going to say, however as I previously said, their ideas of Georgia's territorial integrity is controversial of recognizing Kosovo's independence.
This move now allows Russia to protect these countries again any attacks and by the looks of it, there's nothing the people who are against that can do about it.
Now Russia's allies will surely support this decision.
