A drug kingpin Diego Leon Montoya Sanchez was captured in his underwear Monday, hiding in a bush outside a house in western Colombia. He was tken into custody that day according to inister of Defense Juan Manuel Santos
"He was considered the most wanted narcotrafficker in the world," Santos said.
The FBI had been looking for Montoya, known as "Don Diego," for seven years. He was accused of shipping "multiple tons of cocaine" into the United States and called him "one of the principal leaders of the Colombian North Valley drug cartel," which it said is "the most powerful and violent drug trafficking organization in Colombia ."
Montoya is responsible for 70% of cocaine sold in the US and Europe as well as the assasination of 1,500 people.
Russia has withdrawn from a key cold war treaty limiting the number of troops and weapons in Europe. The Conventional Forces in Europe treaty was suspended on Tuesday at 2100 GMT.This means Russian troops can now move around the country without notifying NATO. NATO members deeply regret this decision. According to Russia foreign ministry such step was caused by the exceptional circumstances connected to the content of the treaty which concern the security of Russia and demands immediate measures . Yesterday I wrote about Abu Qatada who has been released from jail on bail. Now he has to stay at home for 22-hour-a-day. Well he had released a book where he urges all Muslims to commit terrorist attacks in the West and kill the unbelievers. He had put the 71-page tract on the internet. He is on really thin ice and this book will make the ice even thinner. If you ask me I think the British should have deported him back to Jordan on the first flight and then show the video of his execution on the evening news.
