It's on! Georgia Attacks

That's right it's on now. Tonight Georgria launched a full scale attack on South Ossetia. It's too early to say how the whole thing is working out for them but I doubt they will be pleased with the results. At this point all we hear is propaganda from all sides.

Georgia is saying Russia attacked them when they were peacefully liberating the South Ossetians. From what or who is unclear. Also Georgia says that Russian warplanes are targeting and bombing civilian population of Georgia, which is just ludicrous.

Russia in turn is saying that Georgia attacked South Ossetia and Russian peacekeepers and now Georgia will have to bear(good word in this context) the fruits of their attack aka Russia will respond in force.

Some US senators back their 51 state Georgia 2 (they already have one Georgia) saying Russia should stop attacking Georgia 2.

And the EU is like a admin on a forum says "please don't fight"

There have been news that Russian tanks have entered South Ossetia from North Ossetia. Georgian President Michail Saakashvili says that this is an act of war and Georgia will defend itself.

From what I've read so far left one clear image in my mind. Saakashvili is trying to make Russia look "evil". "Those bad old Russians bomb us when we are peacefully killing South Ossetians!"

By the way I wonder if the fact that US have been supplying weapons and training georgian troops has something to do with this...

I'm very interested in reading the official responses from all sides. But I'd have to wait a few days till they release them.

Latest: Fighting in Ts'hinvali has stopped and the Georgia forces have retreated.
