Israel is reducing power supply to Gaza as par of a plan to severe its economic ties with the territory. They have already cut 5% on one of the 10 power line that supply Gaza. Israel say this is a signal and they will continue the disengagement process and hope the Palestinians will focus on getting new energy sources then making rockets.

I seriously doubt that this move will prevent the extremists from making rockets they will soon let the people suffer and continue their production.
