Hungarian MOL offered to unite 8 gas transmission companies of Central and Eastern Europe into a New Europe Transmission System (NETS) and construct a gad pipe line Nabucco around Russia. MOL is planing to constructs the gas pipe line system in Hungary, Slovenia, Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia, Romania, Bulgaria and Austria. Negotiation are scheduled to begin in early 2008.

The US seeking to ease the tension with Russian submitted a formal proposal to Russia for cooperation on missile defense in eastern Europe. US also addressed another issue concerning Conventional Forces in Europe and made a proposal that would discourage Moscow from withdrawing from the treaty. These proposals have been discussed between both countries, but Russian wanted to have them written on paper before continuing the talks. While reading a lot about the conflict in Georgia I usually found anti-Russian articles. Like any person who wants to make his own opinion i needed other news sources which were not so easy to find. Although I've found articles about the "bad Russia" the comments people left made me very happy. People were saying that the conflict was started by Georgia and Russia's actions are justified. Of course there were both type of comments pro-Russian and anti-Russian but I was still happy because both sides of views were present.I've found this article on BBC's website about the situation
