U.S. Defense Secretary Robert Gates spoke in Munich Conference on Security Policy he urged European nations to commit more troops in the fight against extremism in Afghanistan. He complained that the U.S, Canada and Britain are doing most of the "work" while countries as Germany, France, Italy aren't doing enough.
Gates said global Islamic terrorism is a threat to them all and listed the recent terror act in London and Madrid and Nato members must share the burden of Afghanistan.

Russian President Vladimir Putin said on Tuesday that Iran should be allowed to pursue its nuclear program for peaceful purposes. He said this during his visit to Tehran for the summit of Caspian Sea nations. Pakistan's former Prime Minister, Benezir Bhutto was killed today. A suicide bombing killed 14 Bhutto's supporters and in the aftermath of the bomb attack Bhutto suffered bullet wounds. She was rushed to the Rawalpindi General Hospital less than two miles from the bombing scene, and there doctors pronounced her dead. Former Pakistan government spokesman Tariq Azim Khan said it's still not clear whether she was shot or it was the shrapnel from the bomb.This was not the only incident today in Pakistan.The
