Here is a raw video of Tibetans on horseback, like a band of Cossacks or even Pancho Villa riding into a remote village to declare their freedom from China. I am actually surprised this video made it out due to China's crackdown on media coverage in Tibet.Regardless of where you stand on the Tibet question, you have to have respect for these guys as they face a nuclear power in China with horses, rocks and the occasional hunting rife. I'm not sure the Dalai Lama has anything to do with this - he does not need any involvement. Tibetans are frustrated and no amount of non-violent training and tradition can override the human compunction to defend themselves.

Violnece is no way to make Tibet independent (unless you can kill everyone who opposes you). They are only hurting themselves by revolting. I completely understand that the first thing people do in such conditions is tear their shirt, scream I WON'T TAKE IT ANYMORE and then go smash stuff around. Then what? Then clashes with the police.
P.S I don't think Tibet should get independence.
Well in my view I dont understand why Tibet is not wanting to be a part of China.. Since tibet is not that much developed china will help Tibet grow economically as a state. They aren't going to get anything just getting killed from Chinese police and military.
