Sick of Christmas Yet? You Should Be!

So, how many times have you heard this phrase this holiday season: "Oh my gawd! It's Christmas already? It happened so quick..." Well there is a reason for that and it's something I like to call Premature Holiday Ejaculation or Blowing Your Christmas Load Too Soon. And I say it serves you right!Every year Christmas starts earlier and earlier, I think I started seeing commercials even before Thanksgiving this year. Local radio stations used to play holiday music starting a week before Christmas, then they started playing them all December, this year the holiday music started in November. You see what is happening? Everyone is so hyped for Christmas that they start too soon, by the time December 25th comes around you are completely desensitized to any holiday cheer that happens to be still lingering around. At this point many people just want it over with. Remember when Christmas used to mean something? That's because we didn't have to spend an entire season preparing for just one day.

Sure, I can blame the advertisers, merchants and of course the media for creating this hype around Christmas...and I do. But in the end you have to look at the Sheeple - the ones that just follow what everyone else is doing - they are the ones, the unwashed masses, that let it get like this, succumbing to the urge to decorate your house the day after Halloween and blasting Christmas music over a month before it is necessary. And then the day comes, you open the presents, you eat the food, you visit the relatives you hate and then that's it, Christmas is over. Guess what Sheep - You've blew your wad a month ago, have a $1000 electric bill and maxed-out credit cards just for about 8-10 hours of real "Christmas".Every year we complain about the commercialism of Christmas, and yet every year it gets more commercialized. When is this going to stop? Remember what happened to the Roman Empire when they kept tacking on holidays to their calendar? No? Well let's just say it was the beginning of the end...Sound familiar?

Read the rest and see the video over at the home of AngryJed:http://angryjed.blogspot.com/2007/12/oregon-landslide-thats-what-you-get-for.html

Tibet Calls In The Calvary

Here is a raw video of Tibetans on horseback, like a band of Cossacks or even Pancho Villa riding into a remote village to declare their freedom from China. I am actually surprised this video made it out due to China's crackdown on media coverage in Tibet.Regardless of where you stand on the Tibet question, you have to have respect for these guys as they face a nuclear power in China with horses, rocks and the occasional hunting rife. I'm not sure the Dalai Lama has anything to do with this - he does not need any involvement. Tibetans are frustrated and no amount of non-violent training
