I can't believe people still think this guy is smart. The rich half of the country does not care because they can absorb the higher gas and home heating prices, they already pay a premium for their so-called organic foods at high-end supermarkets. And their portfolios? They have brokers to keep making them money in a bad economy.What pisses me off the most is the attitude the Bush people have "well if you were smart then you wouldn't be struggling". These assholes think the only criterion separating rich and poor is intelligence. Well in my experience working for brokerage houses and banks I have met many more smart poor people than smart rich people. The smart rich people I've met are a really, really smart minority. Most of the rich people I know think they are smart but to me it's society giving them an uneven playing field.If mommy and daddy can pay for you go to a good school, you don't have student loans and PLUS loans to weigh you down. If daddy gives you a position in his company right out of school how does that make you self-made? If you come from money and daddy is always there to pay your maxed-out credit card, then you can pursue jobs "that matter" like social-work, psychology or other jobs that don't pay enough to support regular people. If you have relatives to buy you a house or even a down payment that puts you in a much better position than many of us. Hey even that asshole Donald Trump said that you need help from your family to be successful, just like his rich daddy helped him.
