I'm starting to realize why George Bush does not see a problem with the American Economy - because for him and guys in his income bracket there is no problem. When your portfolio is as diversified as those in the rich boys' club, you make just as much money (selling your short options) in a bad market as you do in a good one. And for anyone of us who does not register on their radar screen? Well all they have to do is cut interest rates and give us a check right? That should solve everything (sarcasm)! So tell me King George, how does an interest rate cut help the homeless? The jobless? The partially disabled ineligible for government aid? The elderly that rely on their savings? I've already ranted about the near worthless rebate check, but the interest rate cut only helps those in a position to borrow money, or those who didn't realize they would have to come up with that huge mortgage payment every month. It's not going to stop credit cards for giving you an APR that boarders on usury, but it will allow banks to shrivel up what little returns they where offering for savings accounts and CD's. Oh, and remember the weakening dollar? George Fiddles while our savings burn away in the bank.

The interests of wealthy come before the interests of the poor.
P.S love the " King George" nick, makes him look like an English monarch who's overtaxing the American colonies. I guess at some point history repeats itself one way or another
