Readers will already know what I feel about Bush's economic prowess , and the fact that he is still in denial about recession , stagnation and inflation or Stagflation as the cheerleaders on CNN now call it. I even heard a right-wind talk radio shill talk about how we have had continued economic growth under Bush - as a dig to the Clintons. I'm sure this asshole has his kid in one of those soccer leagues where every kid gets a trophy for trying.Look a little closer Bush fans, how does that tiny growth compare with a dollar that keeps on sinking, a huge trade deficit to China, and the continuous rise of food costs. You might as well print your own money at home - at it's current rate the dollar will be just as valuable by the end of the Bush administration.
I'm starting to realize why George Bush does not see a problem with the American Economy - because for him and guys in his income bracket there is no problem. When your portfolio is as diversified as those in the rich boys' club, you make just as much money (selling your short options) in a bad market as you do in a good one. And for anyone of us who does not register on their radar screen? Well all they have to do is cut interest rates and give us a check right? Wow George Bush, $600-$1200 bucks! Did you think of that all by yourself? Of course not, but you'll take credit for this latest half-assed attempt to stabilize the US Economy. This so called Stimulus Package is less than what the US spent in Iraq this year and it's supposed to keep us from recession? How is giving us a rent check going to stop the slide? Most people I know eligible for this "refund" have little or no money invested, they can't afford it. I'd say put it in the bank but with the dollar so weak there is no guarantee that it won't evaporate in the next few years.
