For the past week or so the top story on most news sites the main topic was and is swine flu. I have to admin this is refreshing from the constant waves of bad news about the world economic crisis. According to Hillary Clinton the taliban are going to take over Pakistan because of failed government policies. "I think that we cannot underscore the seriousness of the existential threat posed to the state of Pakistan by continuing advances, now within hours of Islamabad, that are being made by a loosely confederated group of terrorists and others who are seeking the overthrow of the Pakistani state, a nuclear-armed state." Read an article about the US humvees that were captured by Russia in Georgia. Apparently 5 US humvees were captured by the Russian troops in Georgia. Gen. James T. Conway has issued a statement saying Russia should return the Humvees or pay for them. "I think we're going to send the Russians a bill and tell them, you know, 'Either pay up or give us back our vehicles, guys" The total value of those 5 humvees is $540,000 Yeah, right.
